In 1989, scientific studies were carried out on the bones of the body of Saint Corrado Confalonieri.
The analysis of the skull was able to reconstruct the appearance of the Holy Hermit, and therefore we can see his true face.
We know that these scientifically based reconstructions are very close to the truth.
San Corrado was born in the village of Calendasco on the Po River, near the city of Piacenza. His family was feudal lords of these lands. In this town he was born in the castle in the year 1290 and died in Sicily in Noto in a cave, on 19 February 1351. The holy body is preserved in Noto in the cathedral, in a magnificent silver Ark.
Saint Conrad is a Franciscan tertiary penitent who later became a hermit.

Nel 1989 sono stati eseguiti degli studi scientifici, sulle ossa del corpo di San Corrado Confalonieri.
L'analisi del teschio ha potuto ricostruire le sembianze del Santo Eremita, e quindi possiamo vederne il vero volto.
Sappiamo che queste ricostruzioni, con base scientifica, sono molto vicino al vero.
San Corrado è nato nel borgo di Calendasco sul fiume Po, vicino alla città di Piacenza. La sua famiglia era feudataria di queste terre. In questo paese nacque nel castello nell'anno 1290 e morì in Sicilia a Noto in una grotta, il 19 febbraio 1351. Il santo corpo si conserva a Noto nella cattedrale, in una magnifica Arca in argento.
