VIRGIN MARY ASSUMED INTO HEAVEN
In Calendasco at the Church of Santa Maria since the end of the 19th century at the behest of the holy bishop Msgr. Giovan Battista Scalabrini, that of Assunta was added to the parish title. She is also venerated as co-patron saint, historically recalling the oldest patronage, that of San Corrado Confalonieri from the 17th century.
An ancient painting and a statue, however, testify to the veneration of the Holy Virgin of the Assumption for several centuries, since the 18th century.
